French Immersion Program Update

At the Board meeting held on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, the Board voted to re-locate the Ecole Harbour Landing School French Immersion program to Dr. A. E Perry School for the 2020-2021 school year. A letter was sent home to parents in our French Immersion and English parents/guardians regarding this move. This letter may be found here.

In the upcoming weeks, we will start transition planning by asking our French Immersion parents to indicate their intention of continuing in the French Immersion program for the 2020-2021 school year by no later than February 1, 2020.  Once we have student numbers, we will be able to proceed with plans for transportation, staffing and facilities at Harbour Landing and Dr. Perry Schools.

Update regarding transportation exception: (Added January 24, 2020)

This message is for French Immersion families who have siblings in the English program at École Harbour Landing School and who live within the transportation zone for French Immersion programming at Dr. A. E. Perry School.

For families with French Immersion students who have siblings in the English program at École Harbour Landing School, Regina Public Schools would approve transportation for the English students to attend Dr. A. E. Perry as long as a sibling(s) remain in French Immersion programming.  Should the sibling move from the French Immersion program, the students would need to attend their neighborhood school.  This may help you as you are making your decision for programming for next year.  In addition, please submit your forms regarding your plans for next year back to the school by February 1st.

If you have any questions or concerns, we invite you to contact our school's administration.
